Leveling up my design toolkit with Blender: this project started as a blank scene and ended as a fully rendered animation. For me, motion isn’t just decoration; it’s another way to communicate ideas clearly.
Not the Average Hero Section
I was off to design a new gaming news website, but I decided to do something new in it: why not try 3D? I spent a whole day learning the basics of Blender and managed to make a six-second scene fully in Blender for the hero section.
I took a 3D model of a graphics card, added lighting and a cinematic view, and rendered some photos with different lighting and colors. The next day I took it a little further: I uploaded the model to Spline and made some animations with it.

Figma and Blender Together
The processor photo in the featured news piece isn’t real; I rendered it in Blender. I really like combining Figma and Blender, and the results.

Blending 3D and UI, a single render can carry a story, like a magazine cover brought to life. It’s exciting to see how tools make it easier to bring a new layer of depth and interactivity to web design.

They’re not perfect, and the world of 3D is huge, but I really like the results.
